Cameron Hafer covered many miles in France's Cotentin Peninsula during the
Normandy Invasion.  The links below is an attempt to show the path Cam traveled.
What was once a place of peril and terror is now a beautiful, peaceful countryside.
Sadly, Cam died from cancer before he could return to a land he helped liberate.
In 1944, it is doubtful he was able to take in the beauty of the area.
Even today, it is difficult to imagine it was a setting of terrible bloodshed and war.
He would have certainly appreciated the beautiful setting that now dominates the area.
